Terms and Conditions – Mover Manchester
Mover Manchester is a trading name of Britania Logistic Ltd (Company Number 12660219). All specialist removal services, including Man & Van, piano removals, packing, end-of-tenancy cleaning, and national removals, are carried out directly by Britania Logistic Ltd. By requesting a quote or booking any service via Mover Manchester, you accept these terms and conditions in full.
1. Definitions
- “We/Us/Our” – Britania Logistic Ltd trading as Mover Manchester
- “You/Your/Customer” – the person or company booking the service
- “Goods” – items accepted for removal and/or storage
- “Services” – Man & Van, piano removals, house removals, packing services, end-of-tenancy cleaning, office removals, and national removals
2. Quotations
- Quotes are valid for 30 days and based on the information provided by you.
- We reserve the right to amend the price if the job details differ significantly (e.g., volume of goods, access issues, distance, or additional services required).
- Quotes exclude customs duties, congestion charges, parking permits, or ferry costs unless explicitly stated.
3. Payment Terms
No advance payment or deposit is required to secure your booking.
Full payment is due on the day of completion (accepted via cash, bank transfer, or card).
- If payment is not received on completion, goods may be placed into storage at your expense until settled.
- Waiting time exceeding 30 minutes (free) is charged at our standard hourly rate.
4. Cancellation & Postponement
No cancellation or postponement fees apply, even within 24 hours of the scheduled service.
You may cancel or reschedule at any time without penalty.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Declare in writing the value of any single item exceeding £500 to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Prepare appliances (disconnect, defrost fridges/freezers, drain fuel/oil from machinery).
- Arrange suitable parking or permits at both collection and delivery addresses.
- Be present (or appoint a representative) throughout the service.
- Supervise children and pets during the move.
- Empty drawers and shelves in furniture unless specialist packing has been booked.
6. Items We Cannot Move (Prohibited & Restricted)
- Hazardous materials (explosives, firearms, chemicals, gas cylinders, paints).
- Perishable food, plants, or live animals.
- High-value items (jewellery, cash, documents, stamps, alcohol, tobacco) unless agreed in advance.
- Illegal or stolen goods.
7. Our Liability for Loss or Damage
Insurance Coverage:
• Goods-in-Transit insurance – up to £50,000 per vehicle
• Public Liability insurance – £1,000,000
- Liability is limited to loss or damage proven to be caused directly by our negligence.
- Owner-packed items are moved at owner's risk unless professionally packed by us.
- Standard liability is limited to £500 per item unless higher value declared and additional cover arranged.
- No liability for mechanical or electrical issues without visible external damage.
- No liability for contents of drawers, wardrobes, or appliances unless packed by our team.
- All claims must be notified in writing within 7 days of service completion.
8. Access & Parking
- Parking arrangements and permits are your responsibility.
- Any parking fines, congestion charges, or tolls incurred will be added to the final invoice.
- Long carries (over 20 metres) or multiple stairs without lift access may incur additional charges, notified in advance where possible.
9. Delays & Waiting Time
- Waiting time for keys, access, or delays beyond our control is charged at standard hourly rate after the initial 30 minutes (free).
- In cases of significant delay, we reserve the right to place goods into temporary storage at your cost.
10. Route & Method
We reserve the right to select the most efficient route and method of transport. Sub-contracting may be used where necessary to ensure timely service.
11. Force Majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control (e.g., severe weather, traffic incidents, vehicle breakdown, or industrial action).
12. Complaints Procedure
Please raise any concerns on the day where possible. Formal complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days to info@movermanchester.co.uk.
13. Data Protection
We comply fully with UK GDPR regulations. Your personal data is used solely to deliver the requested service and is never shared or sold. Full details are available in our Privacy Policy.
14. Governing Law
These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
